"Mr. Mike, I want to be a CHRISTIAN athlete."
At a recent Monday night FCA meeting, I was talking about what it means to be a Christian Athlete. I said, "Praying before and after games but not really pursuing Christ at any other time of the week makes you a superstitious person, not a Christian. A Christian is a pursuer of Jesus Christ."
After the meeting, Eugene came up to me and said, "Mr. Mike, I want to be a Christian Athlete. Can you help me?"
"Yes, I can. Have you ever given your life to Christ?"
"Do you want to?"
"Yes sir, I'd really like that!"
Please Pray for Eugene. Tuesday night I gave him a Bible and got him started reading in the book of John.
Jesus Says in John 15:16
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you."
Pray that the seed planted in Eugene's life would be a lasting seed.
